Hi, I’m Teresa.

Hello, if you’ve stumbled across my blog, welcome! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and the purpose of this website.

My name is Teresa. I am first and foremost a mom to 8. My husband and I have been married for coming up on 25 years. He was my knight in shining armor and is now my solid partner.

I am one of the co-founders of the website JustMommies.com. In its heyday, JustMommies was a booming community for moms and wannabe moms. Forums have since gone to the wayside. While the site still exists I (as well as my sister the other co-founder) are no longer the owners. If you’re bored, you can check out the Wayback machine. It is one of my greatest accomplishments and I am very proud of the work I did on it.

For my day job, I work as an RN in a small community hospital on a hybrid unit. I’m cross trained in many areas and I love what I do.  I work full time and I do a whole lot of juggling to get it all done. As I grow my health coaching business, I plan to drop to an as needed position. I love nursing and helping people so I’m not quite sure I’m ready to give that up completely.

I am new at health coaching, but not new to exercise. I am currently not taking any clients while I pursue completion of a few certification courses. I am super excited about leading, motivating, and inspiring others. I am an RN with a Masters Degree in Leadership which gives me a unique advantage in guiding you on your health journey. I am qualified to help you with lowering your risk for diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.

I hope to make this site a hub and resource as well. I started this journey wanting to be able to share as much as I can for free and reserve coaching for the clients who are looking for something deeper.

In my spare time, I take care of my dad who lives with me. He has dementia. Honestly his stroke, which led to his dementia, by far is the most challenging thing I have ever had to go through.

My hobbies include running, yoga, and strength training. I have ran marathons, half-marathons, 5Ks, 10Ks, and some other odd distances. I’ve completed a few sprint triathlons, but I’m not a very strong swimmer.

I am Catholic. So, you will see some articles and blog posts referencing my faith. I believe in tolerance and compassion and hope that my behavior will someone resemble the person I am trying to be. Believe me that is very difficult.

I follow a plant-based diet. I started that about 2 years ago as well.  This blog will contain lots of articles on the benefits of a plant-based diet as well. I hope my pictures will tell the story of the muscle you can still build with the power of plant-based protein.

I, also though, am very tolerant of other’s beliefs. I am happy to share mine and what has made me successful, but everyone’s journey is different. You will have to discover your own path.
